Table of ContentsReviews""The Blues of Summer is not just a story about baseball; it's a story about life that included baseball."" -Kelly Norman, Scobey Blues (1975-1980) Author InformationJOE PUCKETT is the chief editor of Aubade Publishing, a small family publishing business specializing in literary and historical fiction, poetry, and sports memoirs. He was born and raised in a small town in northeastern Montana, where he, along with his twin brother Jon, learned how to play basketball and baseball from their dad, George ""Tiny"" Puckett. His youth in the 1960s and 1970s was spent on baseball fields in summer and basketball courts in winter. THE BLUES OF SUMMER is his second nostalgic memoir about small-town sports, as he previously published THE DREAM: THE STORY OF THE 1978 AND 1979 PEERLESS PANTHERS, which tells the story of how the 1978 Peerless Panthers were the first team to qualify for the state basketball tournament in the high school's history. He is planning a third memoir, OUT OF THE ASHES: HOW KELVIN SAMPSON RESURRECTED THE 1981-85 MONTANA TECH OREDIGGERS, which is scheduled for publication in 2028. Joe currently resides in Ashburn, Virginia, with his wife Vonda and daughters Cosette and Emma, who are all part of the family publishing business.
