Overview

Born of Enriko Igwaro and Juliet Oyella is married to Domitilla Rerea (late), and they are the parents of Judith, Theresa, Bernadetta, Dominic and Moses. Educated in Opit Catholic primary school; St. Mary Junior Anaka; and St. Joseph Senior Layibi collage. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences from Mulago Hospital awarded by Makerere University (1968-1972) and his Masters Degree in Parasitology from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (1992-1993). Ph.D. is in Immune Parasitology from Makerere University Kampala (2002-2005). I am a Medical researcher, and have taught in various Medical Institutions and University Medical Schools. Currently I am a Professor of the Microbiology and Immunology at Gulu University. As a Scientist, I have published fifty six scientific papers in peer review journals; a text book on the Immunology of Schistosoma mansoni; and developed a patented Odongo-Aginya method in Parasitology. Other achievements include consultancy with WHO and supervision of students. I enjoy reading Science books and novels.
