This book has two layers so that everyone can enter the Bible's story simply and then go deeper at their own pace.First, there's a clean, story-only version of ""The Big Story of God."" It retells the arc of the whole Bible, from creation to new creation, in clear, everyday language. There are no chapter-and-verse references on the page. The idea is that you'll be able to sit down and read it straight through in one sitting, as you would a short story or long article. It's written to take less than an hour to read straight through, so you can experience the flow of the story without stopping to look things up or getting bogged down in detail.Following that is the second version of the same story, printed again, but this time with footnotes all the way through. In this edition, every scene and key idea is tagged with its location in the Bible (for example, Genesis 1-2 for the creation story, or John 19-20 for the death and resurrection of Jesus). You can open your Bible beside you and: Read a paragraph in the story Check the footnote Flip to that location in Scripture and read the original passage for yourself. The two-layer approach helps you take in the big picture first and then begin your own study of the Bible with a clear roadmap in hand.
