Even though I'm far from a hockey novice, I learned quite a bit that I didn't know about the history of the game, as well as interesting aspects of the equipment. This book is well written, and the authors do a great job of bringing the game to life through fascinating player and coach stories. The book expands beyond the NHL by discussing hockey leagues in other countries, as well as women and minorities throughout hockey history. Very entertaining. by D.
