James Doyle, Library Journal Author InformationHelen Rippier Wheeler (BA, Barnard College; MA, University of Chicago; MS, Ed.D., Columbia University) was a librarian in academe and has taught library science, education, and media, including eight years of an undergraduate BI credit course at the University of California. She occasionally teaches women studies courses and gender-related workshops as part of her consulting service, Womanhood Media, from the title of her earlier Scarecrow book.
