OverviewThe Revised King James Version study Bible contains the written notes and thoughts of Donald Peart, a pastor, author and servant of the kingdom. Throughout the decades of ministering the gospel and diligently studying the scriptures, Donald Peart came to learn that the popular King James Version (public domain) of the Bible had deeper meaning when the scripture was translated back into its original Hebrew and Greek languages. Not stating that the King James Version is an inferior text by any means, for the King James Version has led many to the salvation in our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. However, for those that desire the deeper knowledge of the Father, they must read the scripture as it was originally written; which is the purpose of this Revised King James Version. Readers must be made aware that the italicized words in the (Public Domain) King James Version and within some sections of King James Version are words that were added by the translators. Another major reason for using the Revised King James Version is that this version points out what has been added or removed by the public domain King James Version. Over the centuries there are places where proofreaders or publishers missed some of the italics, but for the most part all added words are italicized. Italicized words were added by the translators in order to convey the complete thought when moving from one language to another. Many times, the added words do not change the meaning of the original text. However, in some instances the added words altered the overall meaning and context of the text. And in order to get the scriptures true meaning the added text must be deleted. In studying God's word from the King James Version readers should sometime read over or remove an italicized word to get the scripture true meaning. When doing so the reader will not be touching the original text as all italicized words were not part of the original manuscript but were added by translators. The Revised King James Version of the Bible does not take away from what God has already spoken in His word, however it does assist with clarifying the ancient text. It is one of the premier ways of coming to a deeper understanding of the Lord's word, by both using its easily understood resources and translations provided by Dr. Donald Peart. Footnotes from Donald Peart personal study is italicized and underlined. Passages and words highlighted in gray are passages that interested him doing his thirty plus years of study.
