1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 1:1 태초에 하나님이 천지를 창조하시니라. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 1:2 땅은 형체도 없고 공허하니라. 어둠이 깊음의 표면 위에 있었다. 그러자 하나님의 영이 수면 위에 역사하셨다. 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:3 하나님이 가라사대 빛이 있으라 하시니 빛이 있더라 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 1:4 하나님이 빛을 보시니 좋았더라 하나님이 빛과 어두움을 나누시니라 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 1:5 하나님이 빛을 낮이라 부르시고 어두움을 밤이라 부르시니라 저녁과 아침이 첫날이었다.
