<b>Merl Reagle</b> was called the best Sunday crossword creator in America by <i>Games Magazine</i>. His award-winning Sunday puzzle appeared every week in the <i>Washington Post</i>, <i>Los Angeles Times</i>, <i>San Francisco Chronicle</i>, <i>Philadelphia Inquirer</i>, <i>Seattle Times</i>, and 50 other major U.S. papers. His puzzles were compared to The Far Side and were often laugh-out-loud funny. He was a guest on Oprah and a character on The Simpsons (where he played himself and did his own voice). He was also one of the stars of the hit 2006 documentary Wordplay, which plays regularly on the Sundance Channel. He was the author of 17 crossword anthologies including <i>Merl Reagle's 100th Anniversary Crossword Book</i>.
