OverviewB.C. is a daily comic strip created by cartoonist Johnny Hart. Set in prehistoric times, it features a group of cavemen and anthropomorphic animals from various geologic eras in lives that strongly correspond with the world of today. The main character is BC, an orange haired, nave slob and eternal patsy, who along with his friend, Peter - the world's first philosopher and Thor - self-proclaimed ladies' man and the inventor of the wheel all inhabit a prehistoric world all too familiar to a modern day audience, there they ponder life and the universe, engage in the search for love and generally mooch about making rye comments about the state of things. Indeed, you could call them the first hipsters!
