Dr. Nirander Safaya was born in Kashmir, India. He received his higher education and training in biological sciences and chemistry at various universities in India, Australia, and the U.S., specializing in Experimental Embryology and Physiology. As a scientist he taught and conducted research in Nutrient Physiology in several Indian and the American Universities.In 1980, he transitioned into public service, taking on the role of Environmental Sciences Administrator for the North Dakota Public Service Commission, where he remained until his retirement in 2006. Dr. Safaya was interested in literature and comparative religions since his teens. So, after retiring from a brilliant scientific career, he rediscovered his passion for poetry, blending analytical precision with creative expression.
