Overview

ISold!, Book 1 of The Baumann Chronicles, is based on true events. In 1979, Werner Baumann is a promising young researcher at the University of Berlin when he and his friend Peter, an East German dissident, are taken hostage by the Stasi and held in seclusion somewhere in Berlin. Fortunately, working behind the scenes, the CIA station chief arranges a swap of people, ultimately freeing Werner to go live with his aunt and attend medical school, as he'd planned. The Return, the Baumann Chronicles, Book 2, takes place twenty years later, after Baumann completes his medical studies and opens a practice in southern Germany. Prompted by memories, he sets out on a journey along his old trail, only to fall in love with Katherina, a dying terrorist. Revenge!, the exciting final episode, is a violent tale of love and redemption. Dr. Werner Baumann finds his nemesis, pursues the CIA, and gets his revenge. This is Book 3 of The Baumann Chronicles, which trace a partly true story over sixty years. Mark Frankcom is a British author living in California. His wife is German, and they have three children. Mark is also very involved with non-profits that support disabled or mentally challenged children.
