He has also played jazz vibraphone and drums throughout his career. Stewart has extensive experience directing middle and high school music programs for the Toronto District School Board and independent schools, and teaches orchestral percussion, drum set and jazz vibraphone to students of all ages. His arts journalism has appeared in numerous periodicals, including the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, and National Post newspapers, and Chamber Music magazine.
