Reviews

"I love this book, but far more importantly my kids (5&7) love it. It's easy to read, the rhyming is fun, and story has great lessons. The illustrations flow nicely. The ultimate review is when the kids ask for it to be read 2, 3, 4 times in a row night after night. (MTD on Amazon.com) This book was so fun to read and I loved the little activities at the end of the book. I liked the message within the story as well, it makes for good conversation with the kids after the read. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends. Way to go Mr.Sumit. (Blek312 on Amazon.com) The Ballad of the Traveler is a delightful tale told in verse with a sound message for all ages. The story, which is illustrated with unique, eye-catching drawings, takes place in a western town. It subtly teaches how God fights our battles for us even when we are bullied and lied on. It also teaches how acts of faith and kindness have their own reward. The feel-good story contains questions at the end, which make it an ideal teaching tool for Sunday school, bedtime stories or even the classroom. The only negative is that I was left with a desire to hear the traveler's song! *smile*. (Sharon D. Moore - author of ""Hidden in Plain Sight - Under the Shadow of the Almighty"")"

Author Information

Sumit is a storyteller and a dreamer - not necessarily in that order. He is a digital technology professional by day and moonlights as a musician, songwriter, and author. Check out some of his band's various projects at www.thedyfference.com. The Traveler, and many other characters, are a result of his kids begging him for new and original stories every night before bed. Although he is a city boy, he absolutely enjoys living with his wife and three children in semi-rural North Carolina. Vincent is an artist, musician, writer, and animator; and loves to bring stories to life. He has a B.A. in Art from Bob Jones University, studied Art Education at Averette College, and is certified by the Art Institute of Charlotte in new media. He has taught art for several years and has produced classical and easy listening music. You can see some of his work at www.vincentwitcher.net. Vincent also has an MDiv from Liberty University, and works part-time with his father, who pastors a church in Danville, VA. He is single and lives in the rolling hills of southern Virginia near his beloved family.
