Author Information

The Translator: Anna-Marie Aldaz received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Oregon and at present she is Associate Professor of Spanish at Northern Arizona University in Yuma. Her academic honors include membership in Phi Beta Kappa and an award for outstanding teaching. Besides coauthoring Poems, a book-length translation of Rosalia de Castro's poetry, she has published a monograph on Manuel Scorza, The Past of the Future: The Novelistic Cycle of Manuel Scorza (Peter Lang, 1990) and a translation of two of his novels, Garabombo, the Invisible (Peter Lang, 1994) and The Sleepless Rider (Peter Lang, 1996).
