Karen Mathieson, owner of Serendipity Communications in Portland, Oregon, helps individuals and teams to enhance the human connection, and is a certified practitioner with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(r). In The Artful Speaker, Karen draws on skills developed as an arts journalist, a public radio announcer, a harp teacher, and a member of nonprofit boards, as well as on wide experience as a speaker for groups in settings such as workshops, conferences, arts-themed programs, memorial services and retreats. Karen holds a B.A. in music and Honors English (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Oregon, an M.A. from Seattle University, and a graduate certificate in Organizational Dynamics from Antioch University, Seattle.
