Author Information

Jacobus Bracker is a Research Associate at the Institute of Classical Archaeology at the University of Hamburg, Germany. From October 2017 until July 2018, he held the guest lectureship ""Visual Culture and Anthropology in Archaeology"" at the University of Freiburg, Germany. His main research interests are visual culture, image theory and environmental archaeology. He is the organiser of conferences on the theory of images, and co-editor of the online journal Visual Past.Ann-Kathrin Hubrich studied Art History, Italian Literature and Political Science at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and the University of Genoa, Italy. She received her Master of Arts with a thesis on the artistic programme of Lüneburg's Lower Court. From 2014 until 2017, she was a scholarship holder at the Graduate School Humanities at the University of Hamburg. Her doctoral thesis focused on the scenography of court rooms in the early modern period. Since 2015, she has been part of the committee of Ulmer Verein, Germany. She currently works as a lecturer and curator in Hamburg, Germany.
