Author Information

Laurie Churchman (Philadelphia, PA) is an assistant professor of graphic design at the University of Pennsylvania, a national board member of AIGA, and the principal of Designlore, a Philadelphia graphic design firm whose clients include the American Institute of Architects, Arcadia University, and The Wharton School. Her first design work was advertising templates, logos, banners, and parade promotions for Macys in 1985-86. A boatowner, she is also keenly interested in the intersection of typography, design, craft, and technology and has lectured widely on the topic. This is her first book.
