You can find your Rising Sign for free through many astrological sites online. You will need to know your exact time and place of birth to find your correct Rising Sign. If you don't know your time of birth, a professional astrologer can help you reconcile your chart and find out your probable Rising Sign. (I do not do personal readings.) If a house has no planets in it, use the ruler of the sign in that house to see what effect that house has on your writing. For example: If you have no planets in the first house, and you are Gemini rising, look at Mercury in Gemini in the first house. If you have no planets in the second house, and you are Cancer rising, look at the Sun in Leo in the second house. The rulerships of the signs are: Aries - Mars Taurus - Venus (and probably Ceres) Gemini - Mercury Cancer - Moon Leo - Sun Virgo - Mercury (and possibly Chiron and Ceres) Libra - Venus Scorpio - Pluto and Mars Sagittarius - Jupiter Capricorn - Saturn Aquarius - Uranus and Saturn Pisces - Neptune and Jupiter I use Western Tropical Astrology and the Whole House System.
