Overview

Wake up! Remember! Something is more than wrong in this town, left in ruin, known as Apertures. Mengi and Mafua were thrust headfirst into survival mode after the God of their world took their elders away. Fourteen children depend on them. A horrifying phantom is terrorizing them. The spirit of one of the previous heads, along with dangerous families possessing devastating powers, is trying to reach them. Everyone is in the dark. All are forced to piece the past together to find out what the hell is going on! The aperture overview The Aperture is a paranormal, action-heavy, mystery series centered around the descendants of a supernatural yet downtrodden and tight-lipped people, who suddenly vanish, taken away by the God Mashimo. They left nothing but a few traditions and a vague yet absolute law, known as the Order. As the only living child of the previous priest, Mengi of Light is deemed prime head (the leader of all the families of Apertures). Her childhood friend, Mafua of Bulwark, is left the title of the second head despite being ostracized and labeled a curse by the past families. Despite the squalor, despite their only living senior pinning them against each other, Mengi and Mafua make a life for themselves, and the young ones left behind. However, their peace is disrupted by the children of the previously shunned third head. Amorosa of Ablaze fails to provide a happy home for her young brother, Fury. She blames Apertures for their misery and dose not trust the other families. Desperate for a new beginning, Amorosa leaves Fury behind to build a new home for them in a place known as The Other Side. This is against the Order. Several unknown entities appear around Fury. Mengi and Mafua save Fury in hopes of healing and reunifying the families. Now, the former exiles known as the Shade have made their way back into Apertures from the Other Side. These forgotten families have grudges, and powerful unknown abilities. However, their refusal to acknowledge the dangers in their own backyard may be their undoing. The same goes for Mengi and Mafua. Something is not quite right with Fury. And a few of the other children start acting strange as well. Mengi's powers aren't working. A sense of impending doom lingers in the air. And it all started with the appearance of a monstruous looking white phantom. They are weak, uninformed, and ill-prepared for what's brewing on the Other Side. And that may have been done deliberately. There are more forces at work than they ever thought possible. What is the white phantom planning? What is the Order? This work of fiction explores themes of family and loyalty, generational curses, existentialism versus essentialism. It is a story about two worlds colliding. It's a story about stories, and a story about minds.
