Overview

The goal of this book is to study the bioactivity of new derivatives of pyridocarbazole compounds as antibacterial and antitumor agents, since Pyridocarbazole derivatives attracted considerable interest because they display significant antitumor and antibacterial activities. So that, the aims of this work are: firstly; Synthesis, characterization and bioassay of some new derivatives of pyrido[2,3- a]carbazoles via microwave assisted Cadogan cyclization. Secondly; Synthesis of thieno [2',3':4,5]pyrrolo[3,2-h]quinolone in a similar manner noted above for the pyrido[2,3-a]carbazoles. and finally; Synthesis, characterization and bioassay of model pyrido[3,Ue2 :4,5]thieno[ 3,2-b ]indoles that are isosteric with the pyrido[2,3-a] carbazole counterparts, via microwave assisted Cadogan cyclization.
