Author Information

Dr. Hod Tamir is a developmental psychologist and licensed mental health counselor. His practice, The WISR Place, focuses on wellbeing, identity, sexuality, and relationships. After completing his PhD in Psychology at Florida International University, Hod worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Tamir is now focused on clinical practice, teaching, and developing tools to make mental health treatment more accessible. Dr. Rachel E. Brenner received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a Graduate Certificate in Quantitative Psychology from Iowa State University in 2018 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Colorado State University. Her research primarily examines how people respond to distress and how these responses impact mental and physical health. Dr. Diana Hu is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Seattle, WA. She utilizes evidence-based methods to treat anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, and generational acculturation issues. She also enjoys baking, cuddling with her two cats, and trying to keep her houseplants alive. Dr. Emory Strickland is a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington State. He specializes in providing evidence-based treatment for an assortment of anxiety disorders and has extensive experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He's passionate about helping others overcome their life challenges and sharing the many research-backed tools and techniques that help people overcome anxiety. Haley Nahman is a writer and editor based in New York.
