Overview

The Annals of Bone Girl, Volume Three continues the saga of Bone Girl as she wades her way through the mire of her third year of medical education. Venturing out into the clinical realm she chooses to forgo the fickle promises made by My Medical School and instead establishes her own rotation curriculum. Jumping between clean clinics, a lock-down psychiatry unit, the cut-throat surgical realm, and that awkward space between the stirrups she struggles to learn the practice of medicine even as the very act of real practice is dismissed as irrelevant in the current medical education model. Working with preceptors who both inspire and horrify, and patients who do the same, she strives to make her way towards graduation and a residency of her choosing despite the constant hurdles placed before her by My Medical School. Author Information

The author is a native of the Northwest who is none too stoically enduring some chilly winters while undertaking an anesthesiology residency in New England. When she looks out at the mountains she wonders where all the active volcanoes have gone to, and when she looks out at the sea she cannot quite get over that the sun rises rather than sets upon the horizon this side of the country. Ever since starting this series way back during internship she has been looking for good Thai food within a two hour drive; she has yet to find any.
