Author Information

Growing up on Ridgewood Queens/ Bushwick Brooklyn in the 90's Jonathan was at an epicenter of graffiti and crime. His first arrest was at the age of 9, handcuffed to a radiator and threatened by the polce in the 104th precinct if he didn't give them his name he would go to Spofford juvenile detention center and get raped. He everntually did go to the detention center and mental institutions from his wild and erratic behavior but did not suffer that fate. In an apartment on the forth floor he had access to a firescape and could not be contained. He went to more than 6 different schools by the time he was 15 years of age and over 2 years combined in situations where he was being detained. One school inside Creedmore psychiatric hospital where every door was locked and metal detectors welcomed you and everyday 11am or so was 'medication time' where he and his peers would line up for the daily dose of numbing the mind. Now abandoned. Drugs had become an integral part of his life but not the ones prescribed by doctors. At age 9 smoking a blunt with his blood brother on a roof they spoke of how lucky they'd be to survive to 15. He did and around 18years old at the almost point of complete destruction smoking crack, sniffing heroine and the list goes on, he awoke to knowledge that saved him from complete disaster. His graffiti name was saev and a god complex emerged as he bagan to read all bibles and religions to find the answers he was looking for. When he was 21 he began to write his story entitled ""Bushwick to Broadway' and was on his way to realising his dream when he ran into Courtney his brother from the block he grew up on. Courtney was traveling around the US doing editing for big stars and musicians and the timing could not have been better. Courtney returned for a funeral and attended his own sadly at 29 years young from a dust off computer product he was inhaling to get high. He and Jonathan just started to build the MOGA and the first step was setting up as a non profit organization. They met with lawyers and the case was in motion. 3 days after receiving the news is when his mother found Courtney's body on a couch not with us any longer. Jonathan writes the Mission2Moga in memory of his dearly departed brother and taps into a realm where his brother did not pass and they went on to build the MOGA!
