This is a facsimile edition of the original 1917 volume, which contains a critical and acerbic reply by Thomas Thomsen of the Ethnographical Department at the National Museum of Denmark to Vol. 39 of Monographs on Greenland, titled Ammassalik Eskimo and edited by William Thalbitzer, also available in the present series. The ""notes and corrections"" given in this volume are the direct result of a few somewhat unfavourable remarks made in the introductory thank-you notes of Thalbitzer's book regarding his status while examining and photographing artefacts at the National Museum.
