'Rob Slocum's work is packed full of fascinating vignettes and characterful insights, that help us understand many aspects of the deep and abiding appeal of Anglican polity... Shaped by the past, the student of Anglican polity also seeks to shape the present and future life of the world. As these portraits show, embodying something of the spirit of Anglicanism is, arguably, a perpetual vocation for every Christian.' The Very Revd Professor Martyn Percy, Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, UK
