The Ambassador Open and Closed

Overview

An accomplished older woman leaves one life and starts another as the next generation begin their watch. Together, they must find a way to protect the Local Neighborhood from the invading Olmeri. This is the seventh book in the eight-book series. Ambassador Micha Lawrence has finally retired. She's packing up her apartment and not sure what's next. President Smbarak has called Sentar about Daniel some issues with his behavior. Sentar arrives a little early. He asks Micha to marry him. She says yes. Their friends are overjoyed. Naturally, Galen will be Sentar's best man. Maru and B'ani arrive to help Micha get ready. Beth comes back from the Library at Nareem to join the wedding party. They have a private ceremony and then several receptions. They finish the tour and go back to Ras 2. Next, they have to figure out how to live together. It takes some work. Sentar has an open-door for the students, but Micha doesn't like the parades. Micha still likes her coffee. Sentar isn't pleased by the smell. He likes tea. They fight. Then, they talk about what they each want. They decide to add another room on the house for Micha. They begin developing their new relationships. The Ambassador returns to where her heart lives. The stories offer a rare glimpse into the inner world of traditional martial arts training. The Ambassador and her four old friends embody the five elements of Xingyiquan (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth) grounding the series in the long history and storied traditions of authentic Chinese martial arts. Their colors (White, Black, Green, Red, Gold) reflect their elements, personalities, and special skills (xingyi, taiji, qigong, bagua, sword). Throughout the stories, the focus is on taking care of each other, what honor, integrity, honesty, and kindness mean, how we pass on what we have learned and bring up the next generations, and all sorts of positive character questions that are fundamental to traditional martial arts.
