The Always

Overview

Grief is a universal experience, and The Always by Robin Reagler explores the experience of grieving through the particular dailiness of American life during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Always braids two love stories into one book of poems. The narrative arc is one of lost and found. In the book's first half, poems delve into the losses of both parents and the end of a marriage. In the second half, grief becomes alchemized into new love. After all, inevitably, grief and love are intertwined and infinite. That is a given.
