Becoming a hands-on grandmother coupled with natural artistic abilities to draw and paint was the push Ida Slagle needed to write and illustrate her first childrens book. After retiring from her floral and bridal shop Ida opened an art studio Idalous Art at home. She pursues her love of painting and illustrating by attending classes at Munson Williams Procter Art Institute. Ida spends most of her time in her art studio...that is when she is not playing with her grandchildren.
