Author Information

Terry Gordon Colbert was born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois, and lives in San Francisco with his partner James W. Mason, with whom he came out in 1977. Colbert's previous publications include two novels from FriesenPress, Concerto for Two Boys and a Dog (2020) and On Time (2023), and a chapter in the book on long-lasting gay partnerships edited by Merle James Yost, When Love Lasts Forever (The Pilgrim Press, 1999). The Aim of Art was originally published in 2011 by Weavers Press in San Francisco. This corrected edition eliminates a few lingering typos and a couple of extraneous adjectives. Otherwise, it is the same.
