Overview

'An intriguing cat and mouse game which will keep you reading into the early hours' - TINA BAKER'Highsmith herself would raise a glass' - SARAH HILARY'Drew me in from the very first page and had me hooked throughout' - PHILIPPA EAST'You are quite the chameleon, aren't you? You could wear anything, do anything, and yet you choose plain, plain, plain. Is it all a front for a secret life?'Anna Harris knows how to blend in, to be whoever she has to be to get by. But somehow she has ended up in a quaint, sleepy village, swallowed into the lives of her boyfriend and in-laws. She's not unhappy, but this isn't the life she remembers choosing. When vivacious Sofia Carstairs moves to the village, Anna is reminded of the freedom she once had. She used to be carefree and rebellious. But is she willing to throw away her future for some fun? Perhaps leading two lives is more enticing than one. After all, Anna's not a bad person. She just wants to try it out...Full of sharp observations and shocking twists, The Artful Anna Harris is perfect for readers looking for the next The Talented Mr Ripley.

Reviews

Extremely well-written... Well worth reading * The Critic * Beautifully written and suspenseful with sinister Highsmith vibes, this book will get under your skin -- Caroline Hulse, author of THE ADULTS Rarely has a book delivered so spectacularly on the promise of an unlikeable lead character but Anna Harris is every bit as artful and awful as this reader could wish. Highsmith herself would raise a glass -- Sarah Hilary, author of SOMEONE ELSE'S SKIN An intriguing cat and mouse game which will keep you reading into the early hours -- Tina Baker, author of CALL ME MUMMY I devoured The Artful Anna Harris in a single sitting. Pacy, thrilling and fun... An excellent debut -- J.M. Hewitt, author of THE LIFE SHE WANTS Twisty, elegant and darkly addictive. I didn't just read this book - I let it quietly rearrange my assumptions about everyone I know -- Joanna Wallace, author of YOU'D LOOK BETTER AS A GHOST The Artful Anna Harris drew me in from the very first page and had me hooked throughout. With brilliantly complex characters and a plot that unfolds with unnerving inevitability, Anna's story is chilling and deeply engaging by turns. I loved it -- Philippa East, author of LITTLE WHITE LIES Dark, clever and utterly compulsive. Anna Harris is an intriguing character with a mask for every occasion: witty, loving, vulnerable, and - when the need arises - ruthless. Full of sly humour and exquisite tension -- Guy Morpuss, author of A TRIAL IN THREE ACTS
