After obtaining a degree in Applied Arts, he moved to Angouleme, where he co-founded the Guy 2000 atelier with fellow artists. There, he began his comics career, notably collaborating with Denis Bajram on the science fiction series Les Memoires Mortes, published by Les Humanodes Associes in 2000. He later worked on the series Les Morin-Lourdel with writer Raymond Maric for Glenat. In 2005, Chouin partnered with Tarek to create the trilogy Le Tsar Fou at Emmanuel Proust ditions, showcasing a dynamic and expressive art style. He resides in Rennes, France. ? Born in 1971 in Paris, Tarek Ben Yakhlef, known professionally as Tarek, is a French comic book writer and painter. He studied art history and medieval history at Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and philosophy at the cole Pratique des Hautes tudes. Tarek's career encompasses writing, painting, and urban art. He gained recognition with the award-winning graphic novel Monsieur Lune and further acclaim with the espionage series Sir Arthur Benton, which earned the Prix Saint-Michel for Best Script. His collaborations with Tartamudo include Le Tsar Fou with Lionel Chouin, Turcos, and La Guerre des Gaules with Vincent Pompetti.
