A gang of cats seems a bit strange. A barn full of cats is something you don't often see, and yet these things both happen in the story of the Cats-R-Us Gang. Dad doesn't want cats in the house, but his daughters love cats, and when one shows up in the barn everything changes. This one little cat and her kittens create a story about a love of cats and a gang of cats that find adventure, fun, and excitement. More cats find the ranch, and all of a sudden there are cats everywhere. The rule is no cats in the house. Cats don't deal with rules well, and several make their way into the house and the hearts of the two daughters. The gang of cats begins with Julius, who doesn't take no for an answer. He is smart and nice and likes to purr. He makes his way into the house and is soon joined by Hammy, who is hurt. His recovery creates the beginning of the gang as he grows into the largest cat on the ranch. The gang of cats continues to grow until there are five. The Cats-R-Us Gang has become a cat family with daily adventures and play around the ranch. One evening a raccoon gang shows up, and the Great Raccoon War begins. There is an unlikely hero and a great deal of excitement as the cats protect the ranch. Who will be the lion that saves the day? That is the story in The Cats-R-Us Gang.
