Author Information

Anechy Padron is an author from Cuba. After graduating from accounting school in Havana, she chose to work as an actress instead. She performed in puppet theaters in Cuba and worked as a clown in a traveling circus. And she volunteered to teach performing arts to children after school. Anechy immigrated to the United States with her family in 2010, after suffering political persecution. She lived and worked on a sailboat in the Caribbean for nine years with her husband. Today, she lives in Beaufort, NC, and writes stories to inspire love, compassion, and friendship. Since writing this book was so much fun, she decided to continue writing about Patti and Barci. José Ángel Lamas Ruiz is a Cuban designer and artist who has dedicated his career to graphic design and the restoration of art pieces. He has designed posters, billboards, books, and magazine covers. José Angel also loves animals and humor, qualities that motivated him to collaborate in the design and illustration of this children's book. José Angel lives in Havana with his daughter and his dog Rocco.
