Marshmallow's story was inspired by real moments in our home.When baby Marshmallow arrived and met her new family, I saw how much courage it took for her to adjust. Just like children, animals experience strong feelings-curiosity, fear, sadness, excitement, and the desire to belong.Through Marshmallow's journey, I hope children learn that it's okay to feel unsure in new situations and that kindness-both given and received-can make all the difference.I am a lifelong animal lover and live with my family and a very busy group of animals, including three cats, a dog, four birds, and fish.
