The Adventures of DIZI The Mountain Gorilla - Book 1: The Sacred Waterfall of Umama is a story about a young Mountain Gorilla who goes on a quest to find the wisdom he will need to grow up and be a great Silverback leader of his troupe like his Uncle Bert. He encounters many tests along the way as he leaves his mountain home high in the Virunga Mountains of Africa and journeys to new places. DIZI means bamboo flute and in this first adventure in which the young mountain gorilla seeks the Sacred Waterfall of Umama, he is given his own unique song and returns home with a bamboo flute which, on some nights, his song can be heard on the wind blowing through the bamboo and lush African lands.
