Although this is the debut children's book for Dee Michalowski, she has enjoyed writing since she wrote her first short story as a little girl. Growing up on a working farm in the Ozarks, it comes as no surprise that her strong passion for animals shines through in her writing. After a long corporate career, Dee now devotes her spare time to animal advocacy organizations like her local zoo, where she helps inspire wildlife conservation. Dee and her husband Ryan live in Indianapolis with their four-legged roommates, Cordell and Piper. Geoff has had the good fortune of painting and sculpting on three continents. He grew up in California and has lived in Southern Indiana, Puerto Rico, and Ireland. Currently, his home and art studio are in Louisville, Kentucky. Geoff works in multiple mediums, one of which is the use of ink and watercolors as seen in his children's book illustrations. He and his wife Shannon are dedicated advocates of animal rescue, and they provide a loving home to three dogs and eleven cats. Mikki was born and raised in Scandinavia, where he studied art and writing. He's a man of many trades, from ad agencies and design houses to art, music, and many other forms of creative outlets. Mikki and his girlfriend Helen reside in Brooklyn, New York. They are both involved in their community where they host a community garden, an art studio, and an art gallery...among many other things.
