Author Information

Melissa Reddy is an Australian-born author who recognised her passion for poetry and story writing at a very young age. Her quirky sense of humour and imagination, along with a keen interest in people, have shaped her style of writing. She caught the attention of The Australian Broadcasting Commission that provided the opportunity for her to recite her poems on the air. In later years, a series of events motivated Melissa to reassess her ""bucket list"", which led to the publication of her first novel. Melissa is a devoted single mother of young twins who were her inspiration for writing her novel: The ADHD and Me. She admits there was a time when she was skeptical about ADHD and questioned whether it was a lack of parental intervention or a genuine condition. Having experienced, first-hand, the behaviours, emotions and challenges that arise for those affected by ADHD and those around them, she has spent many years personally researching the condition that touches so many people today.
