Author Information

Helen Christina Kyrillidis was born in New York to Greek parents who emigrated from the village of Mavrochori, located in the Kastoria region of Macedonia, Greece. She grew up surrounded by the language, traditions, food, and music of Greece, and those early experiences shaped her deep and lasting love for Greek culture. For 25 years, Helen taught Sunday School, where she shared the beauty of Greek faith and tradition with the children in her community.Helen is also a co-founder of Dollars and Sense Publishing and, together with her colleagues, has written several financial literacy and money management books for adults. Writing about her Greek heritage, however, is especially close to her heart.
