The 82-Eridani Discovery

Overview

Below, the villagers of HD 20794d witness strange lights in their sky and interpret them through ancient prophecy: the Sky People have returned. As fear and reverence spread through their communities, Elder Meikle searches sacred texts for meaning, convinced that great change and great danger is coming. Above, Discovery works in secrecy, launching night missions and deploying A.I. mining teams. Preparing to send home the materials needed to build humanity's first hybrid warship. But every contrail, ground tremor and every whisper of activity risks exposing their presence to a civilisation unprepared for first contact. As weeks pass and successes mount the fleet needs weapons, defences, and unity, and they need them now. Meanwhile, on Earth, Diana oversees the construction of the first Diana-class warship, a vessel powerful enough to change the balance of the galaxy. Two worlds. Two futures. One approaching reckoning. And neither side is ready for what comes next.
