""When was the last time God did anything the way mankind expected?"" Brother Daniel had long wondered how the end of days might play out, but this wasn't exactly how anyone at the Vatican had anticipated. With all the supposed miraculous events that he and his mentor had investigated, only one common thread connected those that warranted the title ""miracle"", and it was always that God never failed to act in mysterious ways. Things seen as mysterious rarely held up well under an investigative microscope that applied the scientific method, but that was clearly the way our Lord chose to work. And that was the challenge, because it was Danny's responsibility, and that of the order he served, to detect the subtle signs of Christ's imminent return. A return they knew would precede the final days of mankind. The Order of Parousia needed to find Christ, now physically present on Earth once again, but was he ready to be found?
