Author Information

"Mike started teaching homeschool classes in 2014 and now teaches classes in photography, graphic design and media. He has been a freelance photographer and photojournalist since 1995 and has been active in various photography groups. He joined the Citrus Heights Sentinel as a reporter in 2020 covering breaking news, features, and business stories for the online publication. Mike has previously served as the official photographer for a non-profit organization at the Nut Tree airport in Vacaville that was dedicated to historic aviation and STEM education. He has logged flight time in Cessna aircraft and hopes to finish his pilot's license one day. When he's not teaching a class or chasing a story, Mike enjoys gardening, classic cars, and is always looking for an opportunity to photograph aviation. As the youngest child in a large family, Donna often felt invisible, and entertained herself by making up stories or friends to play with. She taught herself to read at an early age, and embraced the world of imagination: filled with Princes, in grand castles, and Fairy Godmothers, in Enchanted Forests.Today, Donna is a grandmother, random-fact finder, and visionary--encouraging writers of all ages to share their stories and imaginary friends. As a superhero-in-training, she believes everyone has a ""superhero"" side, ready to save the day.She lives in California with her family and five cats, who inspire so many of her super characters. (Sadly, no mice like Simon or Ricky.)"
