"Students commonly experience difficulties with the law of trusts because it seems to be further removed from the everyday world than other subjects. The terminology is confusing, the concepts are abstract, and certain types of transaction are complex and obscure. This work is therefore designed to alleviate students' difficulties by stating the law as clearly as possible, without sacrificing clarity of exposition in the more complex areas. The author concentrates on the principles of the subject, and confines detailed coverage to those areas which are commonly covered in trusts courses at degree level.
