Overview

"In this expanded version of ""An Introduction to the Law of Trusts"", the author aims to provide detail for a good understanding of the law without either oversimplifying it, or covering more ground than is necessary for an undergraduate course in equity or trusts. The most substantial changes relate to matrimonial property and property of co-habitees, following the House of Lords decision in Lloyds Bank plc v Rosset. There is also a great deal more on trusts in a commercial context , in particular Quistclose trusts, and the prinicples of knowing receipt and knowing assistance, including the recent litigation, mostly involving banks. The section of part performance has been almost entirely rewritten in the light of the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989."
