Texas Colors engages young readers with vivid photographs and a simple rhyming text, while introducing some basic facts about the 28th state. Texas Colors and its companion book, Create Texas Colors, are part of the Teaching Texas series. Each book in the series is designed to teach the foundational concepts of Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies as outlined in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for grades K-3 and the Texas Prekindergarten guidelines for preschoolers.
