How to be an actor when you really shouldn't be one! The memoirs of a working class lad from rural Nottingham who should have been a factory worker or down the pit. He also became a stripper, rock climber, hitch-hiker and late life DJ of strictly vinyl 60s Soul, Psychedelic, Alternative, Mod & Motown or S.P.A.M! alongside the drum & base with the 90s indie club crowd. His adventures are set to 60s tunes and 90s indie nuggets, with dollops of nostalgia for 50s and 60s TV, films and comics. He encountered Doug Scott, Normal Wisdom, Michael Caine, Noel Gordon, Brenda Blethyn, Josie Lawrence, Roy Holder, Timothy Spall and Quentin Crisp, as well as a motley crew of eccentrics and introverts, with utterly astonishing skills, who taught him everything he knows.
