Ten Items or Less is a look into the chaotic life I lead while staying at home raising three kids, one having Downs Syndrome. It also serves as a road map of what not to do for any guys out there thinking this is a good idea. I had no credentials for this, it was learn-as-you-go. More sinking than swimming. My stories will take you from the birth of three through the marriage of two. Included are some of my real-life events. I didn't fabricate anything, nor did I embellish the facts. It's as real as it gets. Please don't judge me, just laugh with me.

Author Information

Jim Bontrager was a stay-at-home dad for two decades. He graduated from Bethel College with dual majors and married Diane, after which he was employed in the public accounting sector and later at a paper recycling and drywall manufacturer. He and Diane now live in McPherson, Kansas, where they raised their three kids. Jim continues to farm their ground near Buhler, Kansas, at a more relaxed pace now that their kids are grown.
