The writing is descriptive in a way that brings the setting to life. You can smell it. Though the fully-formed characters engage in the unspeakable, your allegiance shifts between them, forgiving the unforgivable in the face of what is more grotesque. There is no knowing whom to trust, who is the hunter, or who is the hunted. Whitedale Sweeney has a knack for luring and wrapping you into the mystery, sometimes giving you hints about what's really happening, and other times smacking you over the head and laughing as you fall for getting it wrong. Shaun Jooste I LOVE THIS BOOK! Just when I thought The Coven couldn't be topped, this one hits the mark on equal footing, but on another level. This story runs deep, with memorable characters and vivid scenes. Kindra Corvina Sweeney knows how to keep her readers entertained and intrigued, and Tempress of Weinberger Road does exactly that.
