OverviewOn a Sunday morning, like so many other Sunday mornings, when millions across the world go to church, Allgood, a kind, decent, ordinary man dies, yet goes to HELL. Terrified and confused why he is imprisoned in this eternal furnace he meets others who tell him they too shouldn't be there. They beg him for the chance to get out, promising, as people often do, to change their lives, to be good and decent if granted their freedom. Imagine a heroin addict's gnawing, eternal search for the desperately needed fix that will never come. Imagine a mother's eternal longing for her child's sweet touch. Imagine an unending, incomprehensible searing pain that has such intensity it drives you mad. Satan clarifies this when he says: Forever, do you know how long forever is...and if your human intelligence could even fathom how long forever is, you would not have imagined a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of forever. Because just when you think FOREVER is over, it starts all over again. In the first few seconds after arriving, Allgood fully comprehends this cycle of maddening torture - and he knows he must find a way out. Despite enduring Satan's most terrifying and unspeakable punishments, Allgood's faith in God remains unshakeable and unwavering. When asked by Satan to deny God Allgood boldly refuses, I don't know why I am here, but I know that God loves me with an everlasting love. As his humanity shines in the face of one horrific injustice after another Allgood's unflinching belief in God infuses the audience with an endearing, overpowering empathy. Amidst the unspeakable pain and suffering, Allgood's experiences inspire a brilliant ray of hope that suggests that perhaps his journey, albeit incomprehensible, is a journey worth taking. If not for himself, for all those standing on the threshold of good or evil, right or wrong, life or death. Maybe Allgood's story is not a life lesson, but more so a lesson in Eternity Full Product DetailsAuthor: Marcia P SamuelsPublisher: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Imprint: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Dimensions: Width: 15.20cm , Height: 0.70cm , Length: 22.90cm Weight: 0.172kg ISBN: 9781493769872ISBN 10: 1493769871 Pages: 122 Publication Date: 14 November 2013 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Temporarily unavailable The supplier advises that this item is temporarily unavailable.
