Daniel S. Stackhouse, Jr. holds a Ph.D. in history from Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California, USA. He is also the author of entries on the Arapaho, Crow, and Gros Ventre peoples in ""The Encyclopedia of Immigration and Migration in the American West"" (Sage, 2006) as well as ""The Death Penalty in Arizona and New Mexico"" in ""Invitation to an Execution: A History of the Death Penalty in the United States"" (University of New Mexico Press, 2010). Since 2000 he has been a teacher at Cypress College in Cypress, California.
