Overview

The summer of 1942, World War II rages in Europe and the Pacific. 15-year-old James and his sister Natalia accidentally overhear voices speaking in German through an open window at a nearby farm. Could their neighbor, Otto Herman, be a Nazi? When things start to go bad, their suspicions lead the pair to become teen spies, kicking off a cycle of suspense, kidnapping, violence, and death. Soon they discover a Nazi ring endeavoring to expose the Manhattan Project and the plan for America's atomic bombs. Time runs out for James and Natalia. He must act quickly to thwart the plans of the Nazi's dangerous henchmen and save his sister. Teen Spies: Wartime Charlottesville Sleuths is the first YA novel in the Teen Spies series by Jim Sargent and Audrey Deichmann.
